Meet Rosemary Wells the creator of best-selling Max & Ruby

Rosemary Wells is an American author/artist of 125 books for young readers including more than 40 picture books about the beloved best-selling bunnies, Max and Ruby. She also writes middle grade and YA novels. Rosemary travels extensively as a tireless advocate for literacy. Wells was born in New Jersey to a playwright father and ballet dancer mother who encouraged her artistic bent. She worked as an art director and editor with major New York publishing houses, before illustrating her first book. Read more HERE.
Joining her is Mimi Kayden who was head of marketing and publicity for three decades years at Harper, E.P. Dutton and Penguin books for Young readers.
Nicola Evans is the Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund and Reading Australia Officer. She has worked in the Literature sector for over twenty-five years, as an editor, as Program Manager for the Literature Board of the Australia Council, and as Program and Communications Manager for the Australian Publishers Association. Nicola has also served on the Board of the NSW Writers Centre.
